Welcome to our homepage

„Uzimatele“ is a Swahili word meaning „Life to the full“. This is what we want to provide for the less fortunate in society. Our main focus is to reach out to children, youths and widows affected by the HIV pandemic.
Uzimatele ministry is working in  partnership with WIR GESTALTEN e.V. Berlin, Germany;  Nairobi Chapel and Tumaini Church, Kenya.

Activities of Uzimatele:
•    Providing a home to 11 orphans in a family setting
•    Support for many youths in the slums with education both in primary and secondary
•    Various training opportunities, i.e. Tailoring and Dressmaking
•    Empowerment of widows with skills and materials to run businesses
•    Sports, Music concerts, seminars to educate young people about HIV, drug addiction and how to overcome it

We mobilize the youth in the community and engage them in useful activities to overcome boredom and realize their purpose of living, thus enabling them to recognize their talent and use it for the betterment of their community. These activities are carried out through another branch of Uzimatele called UTCG (Uzimatele Teenagers Group).
